Scrapbook layouts:A perfect memory, Us & Fulfillment

Good afternoon,

I hope everybody is enjoying their weekend. I know i am! I have a cup of tea, heating is on and i am crafting away. What more do you want, right? My hubby is away this week and i have the house to myself, meaning no cleaning and no cooking ( just a little bit) just crafting. Well i am enjoying it very much. After making over 40 valentine's card and valentine's gifts i thought it was time for something else so i started to make some scrapbook pages.

The color room #94 "a perfect memory"

This was the color pallet and i was not feeling it at all. It was a big struggle for me and that's why i was too late with entering it. But i still wanted to share it with you because i love the little boy that is in the picture.

This is my little boyfriend called Roan, he is 2 years old. He is very wise, gorgeous and talks a lot. There are 2 things that he always takes with him "doeki & beesie". Although he is only two he is quit the traveler, i cant remember where this picture was taken Mallorca? Los Angeles? on a cruise ship?  He likes to call me and thank god for modern technology we use an "App"on our phone so we can also see each other. 

CSI Case file # 03 "Fulfillment"

Evidence Used: Tags, Sheer ribbon, doily print and circular elements. 

The little on in the picture is me in my younger years. Yes i am aware that i looked like a little boy! I am getting more in to the journaling part of the challenges, i added some words on the little round tags and all these words come back on my journaling on the hidden tag behind the doily:

When you are young and innocent, the smallest things in life can satisfy you…Over the years that changes as you have your own goals, dreams and expectations.The beauty of life is that when you get older those small things in life come back again and the only thing that matters is that you and your loved ones are happy ,healthy and filled with laughter!

The Color room #95 "us"

I had a good feeling with this palette, i love red and black so i got started yesterday....... I wanted to make a clean and simple page but is was not as simple as i thought. I took a white blank scrapbook page and destroyed two after that. I brought my husband to the airport at 4:30am and stayed awake until 2:30am the next morning because i wanted to finish this page. I tried it with gesso, fabric, misting nothing worked...eventually this was the ending result and i am quit happy with it. 

Both pictures are from our wedding, it's a before and after picture. Before because i was getting dressed by my friend jennifer and After in the hotel, our wedding clothes were off. 

Also on this page there is a hidden journaling tag. I attached it to the layout with a brad so when it is in an album you can't see it, i did not want to put it on to the page as i wanted to keep it as blank as possible. 

On the tag:

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" But when a woman gets married she ones to be the prettiest one of the day. My friend jennifer helped me get dressed on my wedding day. We had a great day, it was beautiful and nice to be a princess for one day but it was really really hot. (40 Celsius)  At the end of the day the only think i wanted was to rip off my dress. Being a beauty has its price!

Black & White Magnolia's

Good evening, 

Here is a quick card post with black and white Magnolia stamps.  I got the idea from Magnolia's down under, unfortunately i was too late to enter their challenge but i loved the challenge and i still made 4 cards. It was quit hard to color the magnolia stamps with black distress ink. But they turned out nice and i wanted to share them with you.

Family love

Good morning all, 

I am on a roll with my scrapbook pages........found another color challenge site CSI.  It stands for Color, stories and inspiration. Love how they made it in to your own CSI crime scene. 

This was the case file # 2 for this month

And this is my take on it:

Family means the world to my husband. I asked my mother in law for some old pictures of the family, and it was very funny to see how time flies. You come from your own family tree and as a couple you expand it, everybody flies away from there own nest but you always know that your family is there for you. That's why i chose the title Family love.

The light fall on these pictures might not be that great. There was not too much sun out yesterday so i tried to  make the pictures as best as possible. 

I used the following evidence:

Flowers, swirls, and the punched fences.

So what do you think? did i solve this crime?

Mojo Monday 224

Good morning all, 

Inspired by my own cupcake! I decided to enter this card for the Mojo Monday card challenge.

For Christmas i received a Muffin / cupcake maker from my cousin and i tried it out a few times. My husband wanted a sweet after diner and i was to lazy to drive to the bakery so i decided to make this with some sweet vanilla fudge. Turned out to be very tasty!

The stamps are from Bo bunny and i bought them in October but had not used them yet. 

Some close ups of the layering on the card. Loving the colors all very bright, 

all the stamps are colors with copic markers.

Cutie! TCR#93

Good afternoon, 

I hope everybody is warm and happy because it's so cold today. I signed up for the color room today as i want to make some more layouts but it always takes me some time to get my inspiration for layouts. And i thought the color room would be a good start. 

Even with the palette it was still hard to make my layout. But i think i tried good enough and it turned out ok. I think i will have some issues with finding the right colors. 

It's  a picture of my husband in his younger years. As i was playing along i did not like how i made the center part because i was masking with perfect pearls and mist but the color did not show. So i decided to go over it with distress ink and it showed a little bit better. 

On this picture it's better to see how i tried to mask it. The flowers i found in a box and are handmade by my mother, during one of her stays here in athens. 

I had finished the layout but i thought something was still missing and i added the birdcage and butterfly. 

Here is just a close up so you can see how cute he was?? So young and innocent.... 

  

Just another close up from the other side, i always envy beautiful pictures of layouts when i browse through the internet and that's why i am experimenting with my little camera to make nicer pictures.

Stamping away.......

Good morning all, 

As the weather is not nice at all. Rain, rain and again rain.............i tried an attempt to clean up my craft room. As i said it was an attempt, and i did not succeed, but i found some nice stamps in my stash and decided to make some cards with them. I received an order for lots of valentines cards and i wanted to do something else other than cards with hearts.............here they are:

All cards are the same color, i used distress ink from tim holtz. Because of the weather the pictures outside did not turn out that nice as there is no sun. But i hope it gives you some inspiration. I am off now for a massage and a body wrap, received a coupon for my birthday and now 5 months after i am redeeming it. Looking forward to be pampered!

My get creative challenge!

January 9th card challenge from.....Channa

Good morning all, 

Happy new year 

and lets get creative in 2012. 

Today is my time to bring a card challenge:

Create a card with a tag and a piece of fabric and or lace.

Tags can be nice on their own but also nice to put on a card... 

I want you to have a tag as the main piece on your card.

 Fabric can be used in different ways, 

you can stamp it, mist it, make lace flowers......

just use your imagination. 

To give you some ideas:

Σήμερα είναι η σειρά μου να σας παρουσιάσω μια πρόκληση για κάρτες:

Δημιουργήστε μια κάρτα με μια ετικέτα και ένα κομμάτι ύφασμα ή δαντέλα.

Οι ετικέτες μπορεί να έιναι ωραίες από μόνες τους αλλά είναι πολύ ωραίες για να

 διακοσμήσετε μια κάρτα....

Σας ζητάω να υπάρχει μια ετικέτα ως κεντρικό κομμάτι στην κάρτα σας.

Το ύφασμα μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί με διάφορους τρόπους. Μπορείτε να το 
σφραγίσετε, να το ψεκάσετε με χρώμα, να φτιάξετε λουλούδια με δαντέλα....
απλά χρησιμοποιήστε την φαντασία σας!

Για να σας δώσω μερικές ιδέες :

Σφράγισα πάνω σε ύφασμα

 The fabric on the tag is misted and after stamped.

Το ύφασμα πάνω στην ετικέτα το ψέκασα και μετά το σφράγισα.

Lace is used to make the flower .
Χρησιμοποίησα δαντέλα για να φτιάξω το λουλούδι.
