Life quote........for Frosted designs

Good evening all,

Hope you are all having a nice start of the weekend?
It is friday and that means a new challenge at Frosted designs.

The challenge for the next two weeks is:

STITCHING and FLOWERS
Just add flowers to your project, and some stitching (machine, hand, or faux) to be entered to win a fabulous prize from our sponsor!  A $30.00 prize package from Scrapmatts!

You really want to join this challenge, scrapmatts has some amazing chipboards.

this is my take:

As you can see i used the 7 dots, cold country pack. Just love it!
I started with making the background using some fabric and gesso and let it dry overnight.
I always have a problem when my paper is not flat, that normally always happens when i use my heatgun to dry paper after using wet mediums. Call me fussy, so always when i have the time i dry it overnight and most of the times it dries perfectly flat. After i sprayed the fabric with different colors of blue and a little black of dylusion ink.

This collection of beads, buttons and flowers has been on my desk for weeks. I made it for a card but the card was never made......so good opportunity to use it now. So those are the flowers that i used and as for the stitching i used some stamps from prima marketing and randomly just add them to the page. Below is a good close up of the other side of the layout. And can you see the chipboard? that is from Scrapmatts!

Have a look at the Frosted designs blog for some inspiration, the ladies have made several different projects to get you started. I wish you all a great weekend and thank you for  passing by.

Let's go Natural!

Good Morning all,

Channa here, to share with you a card today!

My favorite products from the shop at this moment are the Paper packs of 7 Dots.
Today i made a card with the Nature walk pack.

This paper collection contains of 6 double sided papers, 1 word sticker sheet, 1 element sticker sheet, 1 die cut tag sheet and 1 die cut element sheet.

On this card i have used 1 or two things of each sheet.

This collection has a very rustic, vintage, nature look. With so many extra die cuts and stickers several projects can be made with this kit. This card is the first of mine but many more will follow.

Besided the collection kit i used several items from my stash. For example the gold color springs are from broken washing line pegs always nice to give a little steampunk edge to your project. As you can see the card has a few layers. Under the tag i used some packing material, first i painted it gold and after i used some bronze embossing powder. Same for the dragon fly, i stamped it, painted and embossed it.
It was a fun card to make, hope you enjoyed it also.

Thank you for passing by and have a great day,

Scrap Africa: Moodboard challenge

Good Afternoon,

How is the weather at your end? .......... i am melting away with a temperature of 35 degrees celcius.
Very very hot for my liking.....

At scrap africa a new challenge is starting today and it is a moodboard:

Loving the purple right? so off you go and get started it is up to you what you create .... and let the mood take you to that purple place.

This is my take for this challenge :

I used paper of prima marketing from the fairy belle collection. Perfect for this purple delight, i started with a mask ( also prima marketing) and after i just started spraying and playing around....

I layered up 3 layers, starting with some packaging of prima marketing that i found. I always keep them, it ends up in the paper recycle box and i never use it, but this time i did and the light blue give a little bit of a contrast in all that purple.

Well thank you for passing by today, have a look for some inspiration at the Scrap africa blog.
All the ladies have made some excellent projects for you.....
Have a good day!
