Flower garden Berry71blue

Hello everybody,

My first post for Berry71blue blog dt team for the month of April.
Inspired by the beautiful tag of marivic, our sponsor for this month
"the scrapcake" and the inspirational picture of Agniezska i made this layout.

Pictures are taken one of the first beautiful days here in Greece,
my husband and i went for a bike ride in the national gardens in Athens.

Spring is here and all the gardens will be filled with beautiful flowers.
That's why this tag of marivic was perfect for this page.

I did some fussy cutting with the new line of the scrapcake "my private happiness".
A gorgeous new line with beautiful papers, bright colors and nice quotes.

Remember you still have a few days to enter for our challenge at Berry71blueblog.
And have the chance to win this wonderful new paper line of The scrapcake.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day,
Channa

Frosted Tutorial "making your own sentiments"

Good morning all,

Today i will share with you my first tutorial ever and it is for Frosted designs.

Making your own sentiment embellishments for any of your craft projects:

I will show you an easy and inexpensive way to make your own sentiment embellishments with supplies that you already have in your collection.

What do you need:

1 pack of modelling clay ( air dry)
Small cookie cutters
Sentiment stamps
Dabbers, Distress ink, stickles, mists

1.Roll out the clay in a to a thin layer.
2. Press your stamp in to the clay.
3. Surround your stamp with a cookie cutter

4. it will look like the picture below.
Keep on going until you have used all the clay

5. Let it dry for 24 hours all depending on the thickness of the clay.
Tip: while it is drying turn them around and press them so that they stay flat.

6. As soon as they are dry you can start to decorate them as you please.

I have added some samples at the beginning and below to give you some ideas on how to use them on your craft projects.

Enjoy and have fun making them!

Have a good day,
Channa

"Forever Love" FD Sketch#39

Good Morning all,

First of all to all my greek blog readers, Xronia Polla! I hope you all enjoyed easter with your family and friends. I had a nice lunch with my greek family, without my husband unfortunately as he was a way on a trip. But i enjoyed my beef, sorry no lamb for me.

So today is another Tuesday and that means that it's time for a new sketch at Frosted designs.

This is my entry for this week:

And this is the sketch:

I moved the sketch around a little bit as you can see. It's a picture of my little friend, roan,  when he was a baby boy. Hens the reason i choose for an almost all blue layout.

The journaling on this page is about the forever love of a mother for a child.

4 ever love
I awake each day with a smile.
And greet it with a laugh,
The world is a treasure to me,
Because of you.

So hop over to Frosted designs, you have two weeks to enter and maybe you will be one of the lucky ones to come in the top 3 or win the prize of our sponsor.

Good luck to you all and thanks for stopping by,
Channa

Scrap your crap! April challenge

Good morning all,

It's time for a new challenge at Scrap Your Crap!

The challenge for this month is to use PAPER ONLY:

This time i made a card, with lots of scrap paper from my "scrap paper left over box".
I think everybody has this box? After finishing a layout or card we dump it in to this box, and it is all piling up waiting to be used.

First i made a woven paper mat and i started rolling the ends....i had no clue where i was going with this. So i started to cut out the paper flowers, and making the rolled flowers.  Than i decided to make the dress, all very very random but i came to this ending result. All paper used is from maja design.

On this picture you can see the rolled ends.
Everything is layered, and according to the challenge PAPER ONLY! and scissors and glue.

So you have one month to come up with a layout or card and load it up in the comment
section for this post on Scrap your crap.

Good luck, Thanks for stopping by and have a good day,
Channa

Stickers, stickers.....Get creative

Good morning all,

Today's card challenge at Get creative is making a card using stickers.
This is another thing that i have a whole box full off, but hardly use!

This was my take on this challenge:

I know, i did not use too many stickers, but when i saw the silhouette sticker of the little girl i got the idea to combine it with the embossed tree. And than i looked at the little boy, and i had to use him in some way....so i made to cards that belong together.

I know they are very minimal but i think they turned out really cute.
Right?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Channa

" Bumba" FD Sketch #38

Good morning all,

It's time for a new sketch at Frosted Designs!
Have you seen the new look? it looks amazing and very tasty....

First let me introduce you to BUMBA, i believe this is more of a dutch / Belgian kids character.

This is my little friend, roan dressed as bumba.  Who is Bumba? Bumba' is a programme for pre- school children about the endearing and enchanting little clown Bumba who experiences all kind of short, simple situations.Bumba is not just an unbelievably good humoured clown, he is also just a tiny bit mischievous. Inside his circus tent he performs a post of fun tricks for a group of enthusiastic children with the help of his friend Bumbalu and many of other colorful characters such as Nanadu the bear, kiwi the bird and more.Bumba series is playful fun and has great educational value.

Here is a little episode of Bumba in english.

I wanted to give you an introduction first before showing my layout.
This is the sketch:

And this is my entry:

Some close ups, The letters are chipboard, and i stitched around the star.

I added my journaling underneath the stitching at the bottom of the layout.

And added some triangle buttons around the picture .

So get on going and add your layouts to the Frosted designs blog.
You have two weeks to make something up.
Good luck and thanks for stopping by,
Channa
