"Little magic moments that fly away"

Good morning all,

Today i will share with you a few layouts that i made for different challenges.
I have been busy lately with making lots of Layouts and i love it.
I decided that i would spent more time this year making layouts for different challenges.
So here are a few:

Create a layout with postage stamps (top right and left side of the LO)

The pictures are made during Christmas time.
We were visiting some friends over the holidays and my husband decided to be the magician of the evening.
And my little friend larissa loved it!

The amazing thing was the look in her eyes after every trick.... so funny.
Abracadabra salabim...............
When my husband was not paying attention or when the trick was not going fast enough she called my husband a slow snale.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd LO is for :

In this picture is my little buddy Roan, he had his birthday on
the 25th of December and turned 3 years old.
So happy and proud he was, on his big day.

He was wanting to make a picture with his phone ( a toy) but he was looking
for his "app" as he said???

I used all the colors and the sketch.

Some details of this LO.
And i managed to use a detail with a zebra print..... yes the butterflies.
I love my butterflies.

I received a big jar of buttons of my husbands grandma.
She used to be a seamstress and from time to time she comes up with some vintage goodies.
I used several buttons around the white flower.

Well this is it for me this weekend.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Frosted designs: Music

Good morning all,

TGI!!!

Hope you are all doing well?
I think everybody has an issue with the weather at the moment and for me
that means more time to craft.
Snow, Rain, Cold, too warm excellent scrap weather.
So frosted designs brings you a challenge today.

Challenge? MUSIC.
Use it in anyway you like, i really think that our team has rocked this challenge today so have a look at our blog in order to see what the ladies have created.
I can assure you that it is amazing!

This is my entry for this week:

I used a picture of our first dance at our wedding a few years ago.
It was the first thing that came up in my mind when i looked at this challenge.
My husband is very tall and i am shorter?? yes i am a shorty!!
So we knew that dancing together would be an issue or something to laugh about.
( not to mention that my husband can't dance, sssssssssssst )
So we laughed at ourselves in this picture.

I used paper of Fabscraps
I love there paper, it's always so easy to use and you can combine it with everything.

I am also entering this layout for the Flying unicorn, they have a challenge to use Tissue paper.
So i added tissue paper as a border around the picture and i made some flowers.

I used this chipboard from Sfragidomania
And i used a chipboard from Dusty Attic as a mask underneath the picture.

And i also wanted to show you this beautiful lace, sparkly border of Prima Marketing.
So pretty!!

Well this is it for me today, i wish you a great weekend!
And you will have two weeks to put your entry on the Frosted designs Blog.

Thank you for passing by.

Get Creative, Card challenge

Good evening,

I hope that everybody had a nice weekend!
Today it is time for a Card challenge at get creative and that means a Sketch.

This is my take:

This is the Sketch:

I used a new stamp that i bought in December.
His name is Boofle and i think he is the cutest thing!

The stamp came in a duo pack, one solid stamp and one outline stamp that you can
 combine with a textured background.

I sprayed the background a little bit with brown dylusion spray, to give it a splatter look.
I stamped the Boofle outline stamp on cardstock and on pink dotted paper and cut out certain areas.

It's a simple cute card!
And the stamp can be used for different occasions.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Frosted Tutorial Sunday, Swirls!

Good Morning All,

Today is Sunday and that means it is time for a Tutorial.
I am going to show you how to make your own swirls embellishments from cardboard.
We all have toilet rolls at home that can be recycled. But you can use a kitchen roll, packaging
from a cereal box, the cardboard rolls from all that wrapping paper that
you used to wrap all your Christmas presents just check your recycling bin.

So this is what you need:

1 toilet roll
1 sheet of  thin cardboard or any packaging you can find in your recycling bin.
Glue
Scissors
a toothpick
Paint or mists ( i used dylusion spray)

1. Cut the toilet roll length wise.

2. Cut small strips of about 1/2 cm.
I cut 7 strips for this specific tutorial but you can cut as many as you want it all
depends on how many you want to use on your craft project.

3. Fold all the strips double and start curling them with a toothpick.
I will leave the curling up to you, there are many options just use your imagination.

4.  Take your cardboard sheet or box and cut one long strip of 1/2 a cm.
This will be your base where you can stick all your small curled strips on,
so you can make a border or a circle. I used tacky glue because it dries quickly and it is solid.
See below how it is suppose to look

5. Now you can paint or spray your swirl border as you wish.

And this is my ending result:

I sprayed my border with yellow dylusion spray and glued the ends together and made a circle.
And used it as a layer on top of my picture.
The options are endless, so get your toilet rolls and get creative.

On this close up picture you have a better view of how my swirl turned out.
It gives an extra dimension to your layout and it looks so lovely.

This is my first valentines layout for 2013.
I had a good luck charm left and i added it to this layout, because this year my
husband and i are together for 10 years ( in March).

For the Greek ladies that were at the crop last week all these embellishments should look familiar..... right?
Yep, i did not finish my mini album and i decided today that i would use all the lovely embellishments for this layout because it fits perfect with this paper.

A big thanks to Katerina for arranging the crop, it was so nice to see all you lovely ladies.
And also a big thanks to all you lovely ladies that i received a present from!!

For this layout i used jack & jill paper from prima marketing, they are so cute!

This layout will also be my entry for the "Swirls and twirls"challenge on flying unicorn.
I used 4 types of swirls:
Stamped,
Chipboard,
Bling bling
and my swirls circle of this tutorial.

I hope you liked my tutorial, it is so simple and inexpensive!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday,

Channa

Winter Memories...

Good evening all,

Finally found some time to make some layouts!!
I am playing around with our new camera, i am still learning. The weather was not great today here in greece, it was raining most of the day. So i had to make the pictures in side.

This layout is for Flying Unicorn for the "winter wonderland challenge"

I used paper from bo bunny and the flowers are from manor house that i got from the lovely Marivic.

In the picture is Larissa, i believe it is a picture from last year but my husband and mother told me that it is snowing like crazy in Holland.

The challenge was to make a winter layout and to add something unexpected.... i added the red polka dot ribbon as the rest of the layout is  blue, brown and gray.

I made snow with 3d liner and i punched out some snow flakes.

I am also entering this layout for Scrapfit:

Have a good evening and thanks for dropping by!

Happy New Year!

Good evening all,

I wish you all a Happy, Healthy, Creative and Loving 2013!
May all your wishes come true and much much more.....

All the festivities have ended and it is time to start a new year.
Today at Get creative we will have a new challenge and guess what???
The challenge is to make a " Happy New Year card"

This was my take:

I wove a wreath of ribbon and added an old Christmas ornament that i bought a few year ago at Ikea underneath.  I finished it off with a bow and a little 2013 charm.

I made several cards in the same style for Christmas and New years, below are a few samples.

I wish you a lot of creativity this year.
At Get creative there will be lots of lovely card and layout challenges this year so
Good luck to you all.
