Mixed media canvas with 7 dots

Good morning all,

Channa here, and today i am sharing a mixed media canvas for you.
I was ready to play around and get messy and see below how it turned out:

I used one sheet of paper of the 7 dots, Cold country collection pack. Together with some embellishments, such as flowers, chipboards & stamps from my own stash i created this canvas.
Normally i always start a project with an idea in my mind but this one was completely free style.

Thats the nice part of mixed media, just use whatever you can find on your desk and start playing around.
I made several layers starting from paint, paper, gesso, modeling paste, sprays etc...

Thank you for passing by and have a great day!

Sailing the 7 seas....................

Good evening all,

I had great joy and lots of memories, making this page for Scrap africa.
The challenge for the next two weeks is:

Challenge: Tell us about your travel adventures...perhaps your favourite location, or the most memorable trip...anything related to travel. Please include journalling, even if hidden and tell us where it is.

I decided to study Tourism and Hospitality knowing that i would have the opportunity to travel.
Which indeed happened! When i was 24 years old i decided to work at sea on a Cruise vessel. I had to get used to it or as they say "i had to get my sea legs" but i did and stayed for about 6 years.
One of my favourite ships was the Mercury as too many memories are left on that particular ship.
Lovely destinations, hard work, lots of complaining ( from me and guests) and i met my husband on this ship. It has brought me so much joy!  At the moment the ship is sailing for a German company and changed her name to Mein ship 2. But for me she will always be the Mercury.

This is my layout:

Normally i am dont add any journaling but on this page i did ( and had to, it is part of the challenge)
but i believe it is very well hidden:

I attached 2 tags to the flowers clusters and it can be pulled out to read the journaling.

All word chipboards are from Scrapmatts .

Although i have travelled a lot in my life, this is my best travelling story. I worked and travelled at the same time and found love on my "loveboat" what more could a girl ask for. It really was an experience of a lifetime, although it was hard work it was all well worth it and i would not trade those years with anything.

thank you all for passing by twice today!
have a good weekend.

Chevron madness

Good Morning all,

The temperature is rising up here in Athens, the last two days were amazingly HOT!
Today is the 15th of August and that means a national holiday here in Greece, it's the Assumption of Mary and this is a hudge day. Everything is closed and most Athenians are on there holiday for the next few days before school starts.

It is also another challenge day at Frosted designs and one of my favorite:

CHEVRONS! use it on your project in any way you want.

So this is my take:

I used paper from 7 dots, Nature walk collection and i used a picture of a Grafitti wall here in Athens.
It looks like a real baby to me but trust me it is grafitti.

I used a lot of mixed media supplies, gesso, dylusion ink, modeling paste and just played with it.

The nice thing about the complete nature walk collection is that it includes several die cuts, tags and stickers that you can use on your project. Excellent collection!

Thank you all for stopping by and i wish you a great weekend.
