Frosted designs " Embossing"

Good morning all,

Hope you are all enjoying your friday?
I just came back from my daily swim in an Olympic pool close by our house.
As the weather is still nice here in Greece.

Today's challenge at Frosted designs is embossing. I will be honest, and i think i have mentioned this before me and wet embossing are not good friends. So i decided to use dry embossing.

This is my take for this week:

I used an embossing folder for the white back ground behind the picture
and on all the letter of the name Natalia.

This is the daughter of a friend of mine, she will be baptized next week and this will be my gift.
I also made the invitations and party favors but i will share them with you next week after the baptism.

You cant see it very well on the picture below but i first painted the lantern with " pink raspberry  distress ink and after added  the crackle accents over it.

I made a matching card with the gift, also the white back ground behind the crown is embossed.

This is the ending result of the layout. I framed it and added a crown on each side.

So you have 2 weeks to add your project to the Frosted designs blog.

Thank you for stopping by, i wish you all a very nice weekend!

Get creative Card Sketch!

Good morning all,

It's already the 20th of September today, that means a new card sketch at Get creative.

This is my card:

The sketch:

I received a very nice stamp set from  a friend of mine a few weeks ago.
With lots of nice vintage stamps to add to my collection. I love them!

All stamps are colored with copic markers and i layered them on some nice card stock and paper.
On the picture below you can see the layering, a little bit.

So hop over to Get creative and add your card to the side bar.
You have until the end of the month to enter your card.

Good luck and have a nice day!
Thank you for stopping by,

Frosted designs " Paper bag card"

Good morning all,

Today i am going to share a " paper bag card" tutorial. I have been wanting to make this for a while and i thought this would be a good opportunity to share this with you.

I have already started making my Christmas cards, i thought i would
start it from now so i wont have a Christmas meltdown in November.
But you can make this card for any style you like.

 For this tutorial you need:

A paper bag
Paper
Embellishments
Sticky tape or glue

First cut of the handles of the bag

Fold the bag in the middle

Take the measurements of your bag, front, back & the inside.
The inside needs to be measured 3 times, because of the bottom of the bag.
Cut your paper according to the measurements that you have taken.
This can vary depending on the size of your paper bag.

(Front)

 (inside,  times 3x)

After you are done with the above, add a piece of ribbon on the middle of your bag.
This will hold the card together, because it will be bulky in the middle with
all the layers of paper you will add in the middle of the card.

Now add sticky tape on all the pieces of paper you have cut.
I have chosen for sticky tape so it wont come off, you can also use glue if you want.

Decorate the card as you please!
Don't forget to make a blank card to stick in the right side of
the card, so you can write your personal wishes.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
Thank you for stopping by and have a good day!

Frosted designs: journal cards

Good morning all,

Hope everybody is enjoying their Friday, TGI right? the weekend is only a few hours away.

Today's challenge for Frosted designs is : Journal cards!

I kept my layout very CAS ( clean and simple ) nothing like me at all, but to give more attention to the Journal Cards, i wanted to keep it this way.

I have put all pictures on different journal cards.

The little lady in the picture is my little friend Ava- Sophia. Although she is almost 4 years old, we have quit a history together. This child is something else, one time she is really sweet and from one to another we are each others biggest enemies. Let's say we have a love - hate relationship.

We have our shopping routine, every time i meet up with her mother we are going to the mall, or the center and we try out every accessory you can find. Hat, masks, glasses anything.

So i have collected some pictures. The top and bottom picture are made with my phone so they are not very clear. But for the middle picture i had my camera with me.
2 nerds in a store right?

I found these feathers in my stash, and it matches the masks that we are trying on below.

But for the first time ever she touched me very much!
We were shopping around, but i had to take out my car from the parking because we were going to another store. In panic, ava asks here mother " where is channa? " her mother answered she will meet us in the other store. Ah ok says ava, you know what mommy, i really love Channa.

hahaha sweet right?

Thanks for stopping by and upload your project at Frosted designs.

Have a good weekend!

Get creative: Card challenge

Good morning all,

Hope you are all doing well? getting back in to the normal rhythm of life?

It's the 5th of September today that means a new card challenge for Get creative.

This is the inspirational picture:

And this is my take on it:

Inspired by the colors, i made this card.
I think it speaks for it self, the colors of the mirror are in the big and small flowers, and the butterfly and background paper are inspired by the drawers.

I embossed the background paper to give it some effect.
And i added lots of glitter to give it a glamorous effect.

We have some changes up for the challenges at Get creative.
You might have seen them but just to remind you:

September Steampunk Challenge by Channa

Good Morning All,

September has started and that means that it's time for me to host the Berry71Blue Challenge!

The Challenge for this month is STEAMPUNK! I wanted to do something different and use Marivic tag in another scenery. So your challenge for this month is to use any kind of steampunk element/embellishment on your craft project. To give you some ideas, i have put together an inspirational picture.

My layout for this month is nothing like i have ever done before, so for me it was a challenge also. With a little help from one of our lovely sponsors this month i created this layout.Using the Victorian tag from marivic combined with rods, metal elements, screws basically lots of items that i found in my husbands toolbox.

Our 1st Challenge sponsor:

Welcome to Mold Muse. We have been working with clay and resin since 1978 and making molds for over 20 years. Our experience brings you excellent quality molds using only high grade silicone rubber, not too soft, not too hard and perfect for highly detailed pieces and a long mold life.

All molds are handmade by Ludi and her husband.
Have a look at there etsy shop HERE

Mold muse prize:$25.00 gift certificate

To show how to use these molds i have made a small tutorial. I used Fimo polymer clay but you can also use resin. The molds are really easy to use and easy to clean. As you have seen on my layout i used several molds for this project. Because they are so easy to use i have used different colors of clay to make many little embellishments.

1. Take a mold, Clay and a knife
2. Roll a small ball of clay that will fit in the mold.
3. Press the ball in the mold, until the whole shape is covered. Make sure that you press it gently so all the details are pressed in your clay.
4. With very little force the clay will fall out of the mold.
5. As i used Fimo polymer clay you have to oven bake it for 30min on 110 Celsius/270 Fahrenheit.
6.After you take it out of the oven and let it cool down a little bit... and they are ready to use!!

We are very blessed this month because we have two Challenge Sponsors this month!!

Our 2nd Sponsor is:

Studio75 is a Polish manufacturer of scrapbooking papers and other craft embellishments.

Have a look at there store HERE
And there blogHERE

Studio71 Prize: The entire summer&latte collection.
