Wedding bells

Good evening all, 

Hope you all had a nice weekend! Here in greece it was Orthodox easter so it was a busy weekend. 

All has passed now and now it's the wait until summer.....but the weather has been amazing 

already the last month. So it is time for a lot of baptisms and marriages....

I have made a wedding card for this sketch challenge at Scrapafrica. 

This is my card:

Simple but elegant. I am in the proces of cleaning my craft room. It's a room i share with my husband so i have to keep it nice and tidy (which never happens) 

So i am using all my old papers, this one i used is from websterspages.

Happy "greek "easter........

Good evening all, 

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend? 

Here in greece, the sun has arrived.....not that it ever leaves the country but summer is around the corner. Yes summer, this year we just skip the spring part. This year greek ortodox easter is very late, the 1st of may so therefor for the Scrapafrica moodboard challenge i made this easter card 

The main colors of the moodboard are blue and green. 

I used chipboards from wycinanka for this card, an easter egg and some flower chipboard. 

It is just lovely chipboard to work with and most of the times i leave them as they are. 

On this card i did both: the easter egg is covered with embossing powder and the flowers on the back ground are natural. 

Just a simple natural card! I hope you will join our challenge it's a lovely color mix.

Back in Craftland......

Hello to you all, 

It's been a while! Life is busy and sometimes you just need to take a break. 

Which i did from crafting, it was the last thing on my mind but i pushed myself to get 

back on my craft horse so here i am with a challenge for  Scrapafrica sketch challenge:

I made an altered box and matching card:

In order to get myself in the mood i did some paper shopping, not that i needed any but just to get in the mood. And the little purchase boost up my creativity. The paper i used is from kaisercraft, 

i love the color combination ( black, turquoise and light green )

On this close up picture you can see the details on the box, i dug in to my embellishements and added them all together. I used the sprays of 13@rts to accent the colors. 

As you can see on the box and card i used chipboard of Wycinanka and Scrapiniec. I am in love with both companies, their chipboards can be used in so many ways. ( also an addition to my little purchase, wink wink)

I believe that on both projects you are able to see the sketch, i tried to copy it as much as possible. 

It was a great first project to make after such a while not doing anything. 

So get you inspiration on Scrapafrica, all the lovely talented ladies have mady so many nice things 

to give you and idea.

Scrap africa: Moodboard

Good Evening all, 

At scrap africa today we have a lovely moodboard for your inspiration. 

I made a card for this moodboard. Inspired by planes, the states and some of the colors. 

This is my card:

I used a project life card that i found in my stash and pin pointed one of my favorite 

cities in the world, New York. 

This card is layered up in 6 layers.  In the picture above and below you can see the details. 

Love, love, love this city. I have been in every single season and it's lovely in everyone off 

them but i most likely loved the winter / christmas season.

Time flies............. Scrap africa

Hello to all, 

Hope you are all well! I am back in town or should i say i am trying to be. I have been out of the scrap scene for the last 7 months. My life has changed 360 with the birth of our beautiful baby boy. Ah well baby?? it goes so fast soon enough he will go to college. After mastering to be a mother, or a mother in training so many new things come my way on a daily basis. I have passed the sleepless nights.....you get used to it and suddenly it changes. He sleeps from 9pm onwards and now i have all this time on hand. I will not lie not every night is the same, sometimes he sleeps trough sometimes he will wake up every hour. Comes with the job, i will not complain it is the most beautiful gift that god has given us and i thank him everyday. 

So here is my page for Scrap africa, its a sketch challenge.

So scrapbooking? do i know what it means................as trends change so fast i made this page without looking anywhere for inspiration. I let my imagination go on its own. I have to get my groove on again but i have to say that it is lovely to have that "little me time"again. Who cares if its at 2 am at night, piece and quiet together with some sprays, paint, paper and embellishments. I will pass by all of you scrappy friends!

These pictures were taken when i was 8 1/2 months pregnant. T

he nursery was ready and we thought lets take some funny pictures.

 

Loved most of my pregnancy time. At the beginning it was just awful, the toilet bowl and i were the best of friends. And finally i got that diet that i always wanted but never succeeded until now. 

Well i am getting my groove back. It was lovely to play around again with my sprays etc...

Frosted designs: non traditional holiday layout.

Good morning all, 

It's Channa here to host the Friday challenge this week. 

It's the happy holidays month and it's the month full of happiness. 

The challenge is : Make a holiday layout, that can be a Christmas layout, Hannukah or what you may celebrate this month without using the colors Red or Green. So you are not allowed to use these colors. 

I made a layout using blue and white:

I created this layout using paper from the 7 dots, cold country collection. I used a picture of our christmas tree. I love this time of the year!! All the lovely decorations that make our homes so cosy and warm. 

On the close up pictures you can see all the little details on my layout and the embellishments that i used.

Scrap africa ; Sketch challenge

Good morning all, 

As you all might have noticed i am really MIA for the next couple of weeks. 

I am getting used to my new job called motherhood. 

He is my little bundle of joy, keeping us awake at night but it's all worth it when you look at his little face.

Our little boy arrived on the 8th of November, he was born at 15:20, 3950 grams and 52 cm. 

as for Scrap africa, we are having a sketch challenge this week and i made a card.

I used paper of 13 @rts for this card, a mixed media creation. 

using different mediums, Sprays, embossing powder etc...

Lots of fun creating this card.

Frosted designs: Card with a hug

Good morning all, 

Hello lovely crafters, it is channa to show you a card i made. 

For those who have followed the blog hop and saw my Heart box, i made a matching card. 

Using the same technique with Molding paste, a stencil and dylusion spray. 

Once again i used the Cold country paper of 7 Dots. 

The card has several layers of paper, lace & ribbon.

Frosted Designs Gift of Giving Blog Hop!!!!

For this blog hop i used modeling paste as my product from the store. I love using it and you can use it in many ways. I made a nice jewellry box for my friend as she gave me a wonderful baby shower. The only problem is ....that i did not make a picture of the ending result.........sorry it must have been my pregnancy brain. 

But i will show you a few pics of how i used the modeling past:

I used a heart shaped box, which i decorated with paper from 7 dots, 

cold country collection. 

I added a stencil on top of the box and used the modeling paste. 

Let it dry overnight. 

After i let it dry i added some dylusion ink in order to give it some 

dimension and color.

Scrap africa: Sketch challenge - Mrs. Melon

Good morning all, 

It's saturday the 1st of November, in 2 months the year will be over again.....

Time really flies.......... days are getting shorter and it's getting a little chilly outside. 

So perfect craft weather in my eyes!

Today we have a sketch challenge for you at Scrap africa:

And this is my take:

I used a picture of my little friend danique, who for some reason has a melon on her head. 

Up to know i dont know why.............but it looks great and she is still so pretty. 

It's a pretty straight forward girl layout, pink pink and pink.
